Yeah, the art community here has really gone down the drain. Mostly because of fanart, in my opinion. But for me it's still a great place to post art, and gawk at GOOD art (if you know where to find it )
I am an avid reader of S-forge, by the way. I tune in once about two or three weeks to see the latest developments. Looking great so far, and I know I would never have the patience or time for such a huge project. Keep it up for all your fans!

Oh! that is flattering I agree with you on certain aspects, and the overall feel of this place. I try not to think too much about it though. My life is worrisome as it is and I don't need DA to push me to gloomness (is that correct?)

Don't feel so bad, many artists who became popular by means of their personal websites often come here to create a secondary gallery to do a bit of advertising, get to know their fans, etc...
But really, dA's front page leaves a lot to be desired. At least it's not antho-only like FA.
